We are delighted to invite you to our ‘LIVING WELL FOR LONGER: PRACTICAL SUPPORTS FOR OLDER PEOPLE’ event on Wednesday 26th August 2026 at St Brides Centre/Hall, Coursington Road, Motherwell, ML1 1PP, funded by The National Lottery. This event will incorporate a short AGM.
The event will focus on information to help older people manage their health and provide support to others. Hear from NHSL Active Wards Initiative on supporting patients to remain as active as possible while in hospital, stay active using gentle movement provided by Active NL (short active movement class tailored to older people—no pressure to participate) and learn how Making Life Easier can help you find information tailored to you about staying well, improving safety and wellbeing and living independently for longer.
Registration opens at 10am and there will be an opportunity to visit stalls hosted by a range of North Lanarkshire organisations. Why not bring a friend, learn something new, hear about our achievements and our exciting plans for the coming year?
Light refreshments will be available from 10am. The event starts at 10:30am and is followed by our simplified AGM. A free 2 course lunch will be provided to all attendees.
RSVP—IF YOU ARE A MEMBER, PLEASE RETURN YOUR COMPLETED ATTENDANCE FORM TO US IN THE PRE-PAID ENVELOPE PROVIDED by Tuesday 18th August 2026 to secure your place. If you are not a member but would like to attend, you can email us at info@voef.org.uk or call 07305 692098 to confirm your attendance.
